EILEEN FISHER Remade in the USA

– A Future with Zero Waste

EILEEN FISHER made 500 pieces for Limited-Edition Collection “Remade in the USA”.

It was available at the 2 weeks only pop up shop in Brooklyn in the end of July 2016.

Eileen recruited three top design school grads, Teslin, Carmen, and Lucy for this collection.

This Remade in the USA collection was made with mostly recycled clothes from EILEEN FISHER and GREEN EILEEN.

Three techniques were used for this collection. Felting, Natural Dyeing, and Resewing.

Each garment for Felting line had beautiful shades of color.

Naturally Dyed line (also knows as “stain on stain”) showed that stain could be a character of your clothing.

Stained garments were over dyed with natural ingredients and beautifully turned into nice tops with abstract patterns.

For Resewn line, each garment has a tag that describes what was resewn from.

My vision is for a closed-loop company that designs into sustainability from the very beginning all the way through to our recycling program—and now, our upcycling program. -Eileen
